Finding Playings Partners/ Email Etiquette and Settings
Find A Partner
The Club has a “Find a Partner” list on CourtReserve (under Club Info -> Find A Partner) for people looking for playing partners and/ or willing to accept email requests for a tennis match.
Three different spreadsheets allow you to find players by tennis rating, type of game (singles/doubles) and availability.
If you want to be on this list, go to your personal information page on Court Reserve and fill in all four of the following four fields:
Tennis Rating (00-Not Rating or blank not accepted)
Available for a tennis game? (Yes)
When Are you available for a tennis game? (Pick the best choice)
Type of match (Singles only, Doubles only, Either Singles or Doubles)
If you don’t want to be listed on Find a Partner, visit your personal profile and make sure the four fields listed above are blank.
"Find a Partner" will be updated for the current season at the beginning of May.
Email Etiquette: please bcc member addresses
Meeting fellow members is a key part of being a community club member, but when emailing more than a couple of friends, please BCC the people you are sending to.
By bccing them you help keep their email private and you make sure that your note won’t generate too much extra email traffic for people, given enthusiastic reply-alls. If looking for a tennis match, consider using the “Find a Partner” option (see above).
Email Settings: Removing your email from the CourtReserve Club Directory without unsubscribing from Club News/ membership renewal notices.
CourtReserve contains a Club Directory to help members communicate with each other. If you do not wish your name or email to be included in the directory, you can remove yourself from the list and other members won’t be able to contact you.
In CourtReserve, under My Profile> Personal Information, toggle to the right, and make the button green to turn on the ‘Hide my Personal information’ from the Club Directory.
Leave the 'Unsubscribe from Club emails' button gray , toggled to the left, to make sure you receive Club News and Membership Renewal notices.
