Tuesday, August 23: Pro Exhibition Match at MPTC

Come on out and watch some fantastic doubles on August 23 at MPTC!

Players: Matt Baccarani, Amad Ahmed, Coulter Wright, Conor Casey Matt played D1 tennis at Ball State University, where he achieved NCAA D1 ranking of #4 in doubles. Amad has competed in several ITF events at the professional level, traveling throughout Europe and North America. Coulter played D1 tennis at University of New Mexico and was ranked nationally in doubles. Conor played D1 tennis at the Ohio State University and ranked nationally in doubles. Umpire/Commentator: Davis Jamieson, Director of Tennis at the York Racquets Club Format: Best 2 out of 3 sets with no ads and a 3rd set super breaker, if needed. Time: We will aim to have the match start by 7pm. Come earlier to pick up tickets/ get a seat. Please see the monitor starting a 6 PM to pick up pre-purchased raffle tickets or to buy more.


Raffle: There will be a raffle at the event, with proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society. Prizes will include: Private tennis lessons from one of our club Pros Tennis gear $50 credit to your MPTC Membership Account (no cash value - but good towards guest fees this year and/ or Membership renewal in 2023) Merchant of Tennis gift cards and more! Raffle tickets: Watching the match is free. Raffle tickets can be purchased online in Court Reserve, under Events-> Raffle Tickets, until August 21 at 7 PM or purchased the night of the event. Raffle tickets purchased ahead of time are cheaper. They are non-refundable but if the event rains out, we will run a virtual raffle. (Note: you will still need to pick up the physical tickets the night of the event.) In Court Reserve, buy tickets by registering for "Buy 1 Raffle Ticket - for August 23 Pro Exhibition Match raffle" and/ or "Buy 5 Raffle Tickets - for August 23 Pro Exhibition Match raffle" and pay by credit card. This will provide us with a record of your purchase so that we can have your tickets ready for you to pick up on August 23 starting at 6 PM. There will be light snacks, and pink lemonade, provided.
