Using MPTC’s court booking system

MPTC’s online booking system is called Gametime.  Members must book their own courts.  Monitors cannot book courts for you.

To use the booking system, you need a Gametime account. An account has been set up for each member.  Use the "Forgot Username" and "Forgot Password" links on the signon screen to retrieve your credentials. Once you have logged in, you can change the password to something you can remember.

Returning members with accounts will be able to login in using their username and password from the previous season, which can be requested from the Gametime login window.

Getting to Gametime

To book a court, on a computer, login to https://mptc.gametime.net/auth

To book a court, on a mobile device, login to https://mptc.gametime.net/mobile/

Using the system

To book a court, see Booking a court.

To check court availability, or see what club events are going on, see Checking court availability.

To cancel a court you no longer need or can no longer use, see Cancelling a court.

On why your fellow members need you to cancel courts you no longer plan to use, and on the penalties for not cancelling, see Why cancelling a court is important.

Notes

  • -If you want to play at MPTC, you need to book a court. If you play without booking a court in the system, you can be legitimately bumped from the courts by someone who has booked.
  • -Please book your own court. The monitors are NOT to book courts for you.
  • -If you are at MPTC, you can book using the clubhouse computer.

Cancelling a court

Notes: The person who booked the court is the only player who can cancel the court.

To cancel without accruing a penalty, cancel at least one hour before the start of your booking.

If it is within an hour of your booking start time, you will be unable to cancel online and must phone into the clubhouse to cancel your court. Call 647-556-7877 to have the Monitor cancel your court and release it for other members. Such cancellations will still be considered to be no-shows and subject to penalties, but will be treated with a bit more leniency.

If the courts are unplayable (e.g. if it is raining or the courts are wet) when your booking starts, the Clubhouse Monitor will cancel your booking. You will not be penalized for no-shows when it rains at the club. But your neighbourhood weather might not be the same as the weather at MPTC, so call in to check.

To cancel a court

1. Login to your Gametime account.

2. In the Upcoming Reminders box at the upper right corner of the Dashboard, click “Edit or Cancel.” Clicking “Edit or Cancel” takes you to a screen where you will see a Cancel Booking button.

3. Click Cancel Booking You will then be asked if you are sure. Click yes and you will have cancelled your court.

Why cancelling a court is important

Cancelling courts you no longer plan to use is

  • - a courtesy to fellow club member (members who might have played if the court was not booked may stay home)
  • - necessary in order to preserve your booking, and playing, privileges.
  •

If you don’t cancel the court, and don’t show up, you will be

  • - recorded as a no-show
  • - penalized
  • - may end up having your booking privileges suspended.
  •

A booked court is held until 10 minutes after the booking start time. If members, two for a singles booking, and at least three for a doubles booking, do not arrive on court within 10 minutes of their court’s start time, the booking is forfeited and latter part of their booking will become available in the booking system. Each member who was booked on the court will be recorded as a “no-show.”

The time on the clubhouse computer clock is the official time for the club.

Note: If the courts are unplayable (e.g. if it is raining or the courts are wet) when your booking starts, the Clubhouse Monitor will cancel your booking. You will not be penalized for no-shows when it rains at the club. But your neighbourhood weather might not be the same as the weather at MPTC, so call in to check.
